Join us at 8:30am on August 8th, September 12th or October 10th for a one-of-a-kind, in-person guided adventure! Uncover nearly 200 years of the Vienna area's history by exploring the seen--and unseen--sites along the historic W&OD corridor. We'll show you what you've been missing along the trail, and share the stories that bring the past to life. Whether you're a fit cyclist, a casual biker or just enjoy our rich history, this ride's for you. Bring your bike and your friends and let's make some memories on wheels! Info: Join local historian and civil war expert James Lewis as he describes pre-civil war Vienna, and how the arrival of the railroad changed everything and made Vienna an important location in the US Civil War.

View Authenticated Confederate Earthworks and Artifacts

Info: Again join civil war expert James Lewis at our undisclosed "secret" location where you can see authenticated earthworks constructed by confederate troops in an effort to monitor and disrupt the rail line during the war. See numerous artifacts including a 12 pound cannon shot and different bayonet versions recovered from the site. Light refreshments (water/Gatorade) will be provided at this stop.

Info: See the location where John Mosby's Partisan Rangers carried out one of the more terrifying actions of the civil war. Learn how the site was located and and how the legend and legacy of Col John Mosby influenced the region long after the war ended.
