Trailffest - 26-28 SeptemberFollowing the success of last year's meet, I am hosting another weekend to support the Trailffest trail half marathon. The main event (Saturday 29th) will be bookended by a day of climbing.
Trailffest starts with the runners and spectators boarding the Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadog for the 1 hour journey to Tanygrisiau station (where our club hut is situated). Here the runners disembark and form at the start line, where the start of the race is signalled by the whistle of the train, and the runners race the train back to Porthmadog through stunning Snowdonia scenery. With race entry at only £37 and the usual Ffestiniog railway ticket price being £70, if anything it's a cheap way to catch the train! Over half of the entries are booked, so don't delay!
We'll celebrate afterwards with a meal and drinks (hopefully at the Lakeside for a Greek evening).
