Trailblazers: Holistic Walk In The Jerome Huppert Woods, River Grove, IL

This guided walks is designed to help you leave your daily cares behind, align your chakras and tap into the deep spiritual meanings hidden in the woods. We will start with a grounding meditation to balance our internal energy, take an intentional walk on the trail and finish with a beautiful unity ritual to connect us all. Nature is ready to heal us, and the path is open.

Difficulty Level: Easy. This will be a slow-paced walk on a mostly gravel and dirt trail. The terrain is flat. The trail is mostly shaded with some sunny areas. We will walk in and out on the same path. This walk is 2 miles round trip.

Parking and Meeting Location: Jerome Huppert Woods is located on North Thatcher Ave, just South of West Fullerton Ave, River Grove, Illinois 60171 (across the street from Elmwood Park High School). Parking is free and abundant on site. We will gather near the entrance sign.

On her health care journey, she has learned that true wellness requires us to be healthy in all areas of our lives, mind, body, and spirit. Her guided events are designed to restore that vital balance by combining mindfulness while exploring the natural world around us every day. Come step away from the noise, nurture your entire well-being, and reconnect with the earth. 

What To Bring/Wear: Water, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent (optional). We recommend that you travel light so you can focus on the journey. We will be sitting on the ground for our meditation and closing ritual. If you do not want to sit directly on the ground, please bring a lightweight yoga mat, towel, or cushion to sit on.
