Trailblazer Short Film Festival

Now in its sixth year, the Trailblazer Short Film Festival has been renamed from its original title, Bring Your Brilliance Short Film Festival, as part of the College’s recent rebranding efforts and to align with the AMSC Trailblazer mascot. This year’s theme, "Heroes and Trailblazers," highlights the powerful role of heroic figures in film, from iconic superheroes to everyday individuals whose actions inspire and uplift. The theme explores ideas of courage, resilience, and leadership that have long been central to cinematic storytelling.

This year's film festival features short film screenings, a variety of film-related sessions, and an awards ceremony. The Dr. Frank Johnson Best Overall Short Film Award, will be presented to the standout entry of the festival, chosen from all categories.

The Trailblazer Short Film Festival is organized with support from the AMSC Film and Entertainment Studies Program, which is dedicated to developing the next generation of storytellers and content creators. The program offers a range of courses in video production, post-production, screenwriting, sound, motion graphics, and more, including instruction through the Georgia Film Academy.
