Trail Work Volunteering

We'll be gathering and placing both large and smaller rocks as we continue to repair some rock steps and a footbridge along a section of the Cross Fells Trail a short ten-minute hike from the kiosk at the Flynn Rink. Please dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes, bring a waterbottle and either a pick or shovel if you have one. We'll supply additional tools. Heavy snow on the ground or very cold temps (25 or below) may transform this work day into a 2-3 mile hike nearby, depending on conditions.

Please note that the parking lot at Flynn Rink can fill up quickly. Additional parking is available at the small lot near Quarter Mile Pond or along the street south of the Rotary on Fulton Road. You can also park at the old Hospital site further down Woodland Rd, which will require a 15 minute walk to the meeting place.
