Hey local hikers! Nature is beautiful but being prepared means enjoying the wilderness with peace of mind. Join us for a specialized, women-focused safety seminar designed to keep you secure, confident, and aware on and off the trail.
Hosted right at the beautiful Ravine Gardens State Park, this three-hour interactive class focuses entirely on proactive safety, defensive mindset, and utilizing the gear you already carry.
� What We’ll Cover:
The "Hiker’s Bubble": How to stay deeply aware of your surroundings without losing the joy of the hike.
Trail Dynamics: Identifying choke points, navigating blind curves, and safe parking lot habits.
Smart Stranger Interactions: How to confidently set verbal and physical boundaries on isolated trails.
Improvised Protection: Creative and effective ways to use your trekking poles, heavy water bottles, and safety whistles.
� Note: This is a comprehensive safety, awareness, and defensive mindset class. There is no firearm discussion or training involved. It is entirely family-friendly!
� Event Details:
When: Saturday, July 18, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Second class 1 PM - 4 PM
Where: Ravine Gardens State Park (1600 Twigg St, Palatka) — We will meet at the small pavilion.
Investment: $40 Single Ticket / $60 "Trail Buddy" Pair (Bring a friend/daughter and save $10 each!)
(Note: Standard $5 park entry fee per vehicle applies—carpooling is encouraged!)
