Want to attend a free class to learn about how trails are built and maintained? Trail School is coming to the Central Chapter on Saturday, October 12th!

This event is open to ALL abilities and trail user groups! Riders, runners, equestrians, you name it.
If you have always wanted to get involved in trail work or learn the basics of trail trail construction and maintenance, or are a seasoned vet looking to learn new techniques and brush up on old ones, this class is for you. The class and field work will be taught and supervised by members of Evergreen's professional trail staff. This is a great opportunity to learn from the pros!
We especially love to teach new people who have never done trail work before, so don't hesitate to sign up and we will show you the ropes!

Classroom: TREAD Office 25. North Wenatchee Ave. SUITE 233 Wenatchee, Wa.
Field portion: No. 2 Canyon, Martin Ranch Trailhead (Upper Parking Lot), Trail TBD
Schedule (please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time):
9am - sign in, introductions, plan for the day
9:15 am - Begin classroom slideshow presentation
10:15 am - Break
11:30 am - 12:00 pm - Lunch (Pizza provided by TREAD)
12:30pm Meet at trailhead talk safety and work plan
1:00pm - Hike to worksite and begin demonstrations and work
4pm - Gather up tools and hike out
What to bring and wear:
Wear layers of clothing appropriate for the weather. We work in the rain! Wear sturdy shoes appropriate for muddy, uneven surfaces.
We will provide lunch. You should bring any snacks/drinks you want during the day.
We will provide trail tools, safety glasses, and gloves. A hard hat is not required for this event, but you may bring your own.
