The Snowy Mountains has officially been awarded the rights to host the 2026 AUTRA National Short Course Trail Running Championship, with the action taking place on Sunday 22 February 2026 at the Trail Run Australia | Snowy Mountains Festival.AUTRA – the Australian Ultra & Trail Running Association – is the peak body for trail running in Australia, representing the community, supporting events, and sanctioning the official National Trail Running Championships.
And here’s the kicker: line up at the start of the UTRA50 and you won’t just be running through one of the most spectacular landscapes in Australia – you’ll be running for the chance to become a National Champion.
