Trail Ride Sunday December 22, 2024 the ride will be at Watermelon Pond North, riders up (in the saddle and ready to go) at 11 am. This will be a slow ride but if we have enough gaited/faster horses we will form another group. We will ride for around 2 to 2.5 hours and all meet back at the trailhead around 1:30 to 2 for lunch. Pack a lunch and we will eat in the pavilion. I will be the trail leader on this ride. I know Watermelon pond! There is water and a hose for the horses. They have nice bathroom and a pavilion. If you put Watermelon Pond in your GPS you must put in Watermelon Pond North or it will take you to the wrong trailhead.Address: Goethe State Forest, Watermelon Pond North 9514 SW 282nd St, Newberry, FL 32669. This is on County Road 337 AKA 282nd ST.
When you pull into the trail head drive down to the end, go right around the curve and then come back up and pull into the parking
slots.
We are a no membership no dues group. Everyone is welcome to come ride.
During lunch we will decide on the next rides.
I would like one or two volunteers to help lead future rides. I do not know all the trails so help is needed. Please let me know if you can help! Thank you!
