Attendants will buy their own meals, but the entertainment is free.

The Sheltowee Trace Association is excited to kick off something new in Louisville—and we want you there!
Join us Thursday, June 18th at 6:30 PM at Rooster’s (10430 Shelbyville Road) for an evening built around one thing: bringing trail people together. Whether you’ve hiked miles of the Sheltowee Trace or are just starting to hear about it, this is your chance to learn more about the trail we all love.
This Meet and Greet is all about good food, good people, and good trail talk. We’ll start the evening with time to mingle—catch up with familiar faces, meet new friends, and swap stories from the trail. Think of it as the kind of conversation you wish you had more often after a long day outside.
After dinner and social time, we’ll roll into a short program featuring a slideshow and updates highlighting the Sheltowee Trace—where we’ve been, what’s happening now, and what’s coming next. It’s a great way to see the bigger picture of the trail and the community that keeps it moving forward.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Stephan Bowling as our guest speaker. He’ll bring stories, experiences, and trail insight that will resonate whether you’re a seasoned backpacker or just getting your boots dirty for the first time.
But this isn’t just a presentation, it’s a chance to grow something bigger. We want current members, past members, and brand-new faces all in the same room. Bring a friend, bring a coworker, bring someone who’s been curious about hiking or backpacking but hasn’t taken the leap yet.
We’ll also share ways to stay involved, including upcoming hikes, volunteer opportunities, workdays, and the Sheltowee Trace Hiker Challenge for anyone ready to take their trail experience to the next level.
This is more than a meeting, it’s the start of building stronger connections, stronger trails, and a stronger community.
