2nd Annual Traditional Madness – Indoor Archery EventThe Nampa Bow Chiefs are hosting their 2nd Annual Traditional Madness, an indoor primitive and traditional archery event, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Nampa Bow Chiefs Indoor Range in Nampa, Idaho.
Registration will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event is expected to conclude by 5:00 p.m.
Traditional Madness features a variety of fun and challenging shooting events, including a Vegas 240 target round, a speed shoot, a shot in the dark (candle hit), apple-on-a-string shooting for skilled archers, flying balloons for youth, and the popular whirled moving dragon target shoot.
Divisions are available for youth (under 14) and adults, with categories for Traditional Recurve, Traditional Longbow, and Primitive Bow, for both male and female shooters. Youth may shoot any type of traditional bow. Awards will be given to first-, second-, and third-place finishers in each division, with non-cash prizes.
The event follows NFAA Traditional rules, allowing only off-the-shelf or hand shooting—no compounds, sights, stabilizers, or plungers. Primitive divisions are limited to wood and natural materials, with wood arrows encouraged.
The cost is $20 per adult, while youth 14 and under shoot for free. Cash registration is available on-site, and online pre-registration is offered with a small transaction fee. Equipment will be available at no cost for kids to use, making this a great family-friendly event.
No food will be provided, but soda is available in the lobby. Proceeds from the event will help support audio and video equipment used to document and promote Nampa Bow Chiefs events.
