Come and join us to make a traditional egg basket.
The shape and form of the traditional egg basket is similar to that of the poultry basket. Whilst undertaking research for my City and Guilds qualification, I came upon the work of George Morland (1793) in a beautiful print held by the British museum, entitled My Grandmother Knitting. The print shows the openness of the form as well as the outward and inward flow of the weave.
