A major goal of North Bay Trades Introduction Program (TIP) is to prepare you for a state-registered apprenticeship in a trade of your choosing. It is not a requirement to take the North Bay TIP before applying to an apprenticeship, but it can be a great help to explore apprenticeship and prepare for your long-term success.
Our next Cohort is in Marin at the Novato Adult School and starts January 28th. Register for an orientation today!

Orientation Dates (Attendance Required):
Wednesday, January 8, 2025 (Zoom, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
Saturday, January 11, 2025
(In Person, Novato Adult School, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM).
Tuesday, January 14, 2025 (Zoom, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
Thursday, January 16, 2025 (Zoom, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
Intake Documents Day:
Saturday, January 18, 2025
(Individual appointments, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Novato Adult School).
Interviews:
Wednesday, January 22, 2025 (Zoom, 20-minute individual sessions).
Program Start Date: Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Program End Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Saturday Class Dates:
February 8, March 8, April 5, 2025 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; lunch provided).
Graduation Ceremony: Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM (location TBA).
Additional Notes
Students may participate in 1–2 field trips or reviews outside of listed dates.
Required Documents (to bring to Intake Documents Day):
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency (with English translation if needed).
Valid CA driver’s license.
Social Security card.
Birth certificate or passport.
COVID vaccination card.
