Two Meetings, One Mission — We Need You There!
We will be attending both the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners regular meeting at 2 pm AND the Jupiter Town Council regular meeting at 7 pm to advocate for sea turtle nesting season protections on our beaches.
We are bringing our message to both governing bodies and urging them to work together to create reasonable regulations that limit certain beach activities at night during nesting season.
At the County level, we will be urging the BOCC to collaborate with the Town of Jupiter in developing these protections. At the Town level, we will formally request that the Town Council direct staff to draft an ordinance placing restrictions on nighttime beach activities during sea turtle nesting season.
Speakers are needed — but so are warm bodies. Even if you don’t plan to speak, your presence matters. Strength in numbers sends a powerful message to our elected officials that this community is serious about protecting our nesting sea turtles.
