About this Event
On Thursday, November 13th, 2025, join constituents, organizations, and labour unions in MP Emma Harrison’s riding of Peterborough, Ontario. Our guest expert panellists, Rachel Small and Dr. Yipeng Ge, will help us understand the Liberal government’s actions and omissions during the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
Panelists:
Dr. Yipeng Ge is a primary care physician and public health practitioner based on the traditional, unceded, and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg. In his clinical practice, he works in family medicine practice and refugee health at a community health centre and also in Indigenous primary healthcare. He has worked on and studied the structural and colonial determinants of health in both the settler colonial contexts of so-called Canada and occupied Palestine.
Rachel Small works as the Canada Organizer for World BEYOND War, a global grassroots organisation and network which seeks to abolish war and dismantle the military industrial complex. Rachel is a founding member of the Jews Say No to Genocide Coalition, and coordinates the Arms Embargo Now campaign. She has done grassroots organizing within local and international social/environmental justice movements for nearly two decades, with a special focus on working in solidarity with communities harmed by Canadian extractive industry projects.
MP Emma Harrison is invited to participate in the town hall as a panelist during her constituency week in Peterborough, where she will have the opportunity to address constituents directly. As the newly elected Member of Parliament for the riding of Peterborough Ontario, her presence is important to ensuring a constructive dialogue on this issue.
