Welcome to TOWER OF SONG, the songwriters’ event which sets a different theme and musical style each time to get your creative juices flowing. We started running monthly events in Leeds in 2013, and since 2019 we've also popped up less regularly in Newcastle, where our current home is the upstairs function room of the Gosforth Hotel.For our next event there, we invite you to perform songs you've written on the theme of UNSUNG EVERYDAY HEROES in the style of 60s POP.
You can do theme or style or both, or you are welcome to play non-themed original material. All we ask is that you note our NO COVERS policy...all a cunning plan to encourage your songwriting!
Doors are at 1.00pm, when you can sign up for a slot, performances from 1.30pm. Entry is free.
Since our afternoon events are open to all ages, please note when writing your song for the occasion that there may be mini ears listening!
PA is provided, so just bring your own instruments and additional amplification if required.
We want to keep the space as safe as possible, so please avoid attending if you have (or suspect you might have) COVID-19 or anything else of a nasty and contagious nature.
