Not a reading. A homecoming. A gathering for the body: poetry, sound, and ceremony
About this Event

Join Detroit poet, somatic practitioner, and School of Radical Healing founder adria moses for the release of her debut poetry collection, Towards What Hurt: a ceremony in poems — an evening that gathers as much as it celebrates. More ritual than reading, the night blends a moderated conversation with poetry, sound, and somatic experience, inviting everyone in the room to arrive in their bodies and move toward what hurts together.

adria will be in conversation with Michaela Ayers, an interdisciplinary artist, facilitator, and host of Black Her Stories (BHS). Together they'll explore the heart of the work—the body as archive and altar, healing that doesn't ask us to be soft, and what it means to come home to ourselves.

Not a reading, but a homecoming. Free and open to all. Books available for purchase and signing.
