The 7th Annual Detroit Black Film Festival (DBFF) is proud to announce its return to the Motor City from September 23–27, 2026. This year’s festival promises an expansive showcase of 88 films representing more than 30 countries, underscoring the festival’s commitment to amplifying Black voices and fostering global cinematic connections.
Presented by a coalition of cultural pillars—including The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Trinity Films Entertainment Group, The Ford Foundation, RealTimes Media, The Love Building, The Detroit Historical Museum, and The Imani Humphreys Hall—the 2026 festival serves as a premier platform for connection, dialogue, and artistic inspiration.
A Celebration of Talent:
The 2026 lineup features an impressive collection of industry talent, including Redaric Williams, Jesse Williams, Terri J. Vaughn, Killer Mike, Tristan “Mack” Wilds, Stoney Watts, Mohamed Williams, Lanett Tachel, Philip AJ Smithey, Corey Grant, Stephen Cofield, Sam Jay, Hassan Johnson, Gregory Alan Williams, Tia A.
