The holidays are almost here, and we're offering another chance to get together and throw with your league community before the New Year! Tournament of Champions is a fun, friendly tournament open to all past or present Urban Axes league members who have won a league championship. This event also includes the Tournament of Future Champions open only to past or present Urban Axes league members who have not yet won a league championship (including at other venues!)
Both tournaments will be played simultaneously and their format will be Swiss + Single-Elimination. Each player is guaranteed 4 matches before any elimination occurs, and matches will be played under Urban Rules to balance competition between Standard and Premier league throwers. There is no prize pool for either tournament, just fun, low-stakes throwing among friends!
As our last tournament of the year, Tournament of Champions will also serve as a leaguers holiday party! We encourage everyone to bring dishes for a festive potluck and to dress for the occasion, be it Ugly Sweaters or other holiday attire! Spectators are welcome, so please come and celebrate even if you aren't competing! The more the merrier!
