Join us for a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the Eastern Ecological Science Center at Leetown, a U.S. Geological Survey facility at the forefront of fish, wildlife, and ecosystem research!During this tour, participants will explore the center’s laboratories and outdoor research ponds while learning how scientists are working to address some of the most pressing conservation and natural resource management challenges in the U.S. As planning continues, we also hope to include brief presentations from researchers about their ongoing work—so if you register, please be prepared to stay beyond 11 am in case these exciting opportunities are added to the agenda! The Eastern Ecological Science Center is committed to delivering world-class, actionable science that supports the protection and enhancement of our nation’s natural resources for generations to come. This is a rare opportunity to see how science directly informs decisions that preserve and enhance our quality of life.
This is a free/donation-based program. PVAS members get early access to registration. All ages are welcome, though youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and limited to 15 participants. This program has a minimum of 5 participants.
