About this Event

As we spend October exploring death, grief, remembrance and Día de los Muertos, I’m inviting our community behind the scenes at Return Home, a local organization redefining death care through compassionate family service and terramation, also known as “human composting.” Terramation is a gentle process that naturally transforms our bodies into nutrient-rich soil, offering another way of returning to the earth after death.

During this one-hour private group tour for up to 20 people, we’ll learn how this process works, explore the possibilities of death care beyond traditional options, and create space for honest, curious conversation about what it means to care for ourselves and our loved ones at the end of life. Sometimes, the more we’re willing to talk about death, the more fully we learn how to live.

Return Home’s Terramation process ensures your last act on earth is one that gives back to it by returning life-giving soil to the earth.
