About this Event

When the air is cool and crisp, the Young Friends of Seed St. Louis invite you to an evening of spinning spokes, spellbinding storytelling and sweet sips. Bike the streets St. Louis on Saturday, October 10th for the fourth annual Tour de Plants: Story of Seed St. Louis edition.

This year, the Young Friends of Seed St. Louis are collaborating with our special guests at Campfire, a local storytelling and public speaking organization. Along the bicycle journey, riders will be treated to a storytelling workshop at one of Seed’s flagship community gardens, as well as tales from garden leaders and staff highlighting significant sites for Seed St. Louis and their 40 plus year history of cultivating people, community and places for food freedom. It’s a cross-town orator extravaganza!

No rider will be left behind on this 10-12 mile ride. The tour begins at The Orchard on Virginia (3001 Virginia Ave) at 6:00pm. Please arrive by 6:00pm for a bike check and safety briefing. The ride will depart at 6:30pm. Fireside snacks, refreshments, and entertainment will be provided at the end!

With the Halloween season on the heels of this year’s Tour De Plants ride, we encourage participants to dress as a beloved botanical. This could be a plant, veggie or creative floral interpretation. Bring your bike, helmets, lights, reflectors, visibility vests, and water! We look forward to riding and storytelling with you soon! 🚲🔥
