Day-Tripper: winter bouquet making workshop
About this Event

Explore, create, and connect in nature's boundless playground. Our curated day events are designed to immerse you in the beauty of nature while igniting your creative spark.

Join us for a flower arranging workshop at The Firepit Gallery! Whether you are creating a bouquet for a loved one or are yourself (because you deserve flowers too).

We'll be using a range of seasonal flowers and learn how to make the perfect bouquet for any occasion.

This session will be facilitated by Amber. Amber has a passion for creating floral pieces that help connect communities to both nature and one another. Through bouquet workshops to flower crowns, they enjoy teaching a range of different groups and helping them access that inner florist within all of us.

This workshop and several others are being hosted to celebrate the launch of our first exhibition, Earth to Us. An archive of queer folk of colour in nature. You can find out more about the exhibition here.

About Touch Grass

Touch Grass is an outdoor community for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour.

We are committed to fostering community growth through outdoor gatherings and wellness-focused trips that encourage us to rekindle our relationship with nature. Our immersive experiences go beyond relaxation — they're about empowerment, healing, and forging meaningful connections.

Our vision is for queer people of colour to see the outdoors as a space where we belong. A 2020 report by Friends of the Earth found that nearly 40% of people from minority ethnic backgrounds in England live in the most green space-deprived neighbourhoods, compared with only 14% of white people — and that people from minority ethnic backgrounds are significantly less likely to spend time in the countryside than white people. We want to change this. We deserve joyful, safe access to the emotional well-being and physical health benefits of nature too.

We believe creativity and nature go hand in hand, which is why most of our events encourage you to embrace nature and your inner creative spirit.
