I will give a little background on why we are doing this Touch-A-Truck.
My stepson at just 18 years old was a normal blue-collar boy who loved to work in the blacktopping field, ride quads, ride dirt bikes, work on trucks until the day he was diagnosed with an Ependymoma Grade 3. This is a rare type of brain tumor that about 200 children are diagnosed with each year in the United States.
On June 26th, 2025 just days after his 18th birthday Jared went to the emergency room with a terrible headache to find out a few hours later he had a massive brain tumor (almost grapefruit sized). Jared underwent surgery the next day at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest to remove the tumor, unfortunately the first attempt was unsuccessful. Jared was then life flighted just a few days later to Geisinger Janet Weis in Danville for a second surgery on July 7th, 2025. That was successful and the doctor was able to remove the entire tumor with clean margins. He truly gave us a miracle of saving Jared's life. Unfortunately, he now suffers from not having total mobility in his left leg which will require physical therapy for an undetermined amount of time to retrain his brain to work with his leg. This kind of brain tumor will now have a life-long effect on Jared. This journey will require close monitoring with frequent scans to ensure the tumor does not regrow. Soon he will be going for proton radiation therapy at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
My best friend Jack Martin had this idea since Jared loves big toys to hold this fundraiser at Montage Mountain on Saturday September 20th, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in honor of Jared Bower. This will help Jared and his family with any medical bills that may occur, travel expenses, loss of wages, and any other expenses that may come about.

We will have a "Jared's Pick" for anyone who would like to enter their big toy for all the little kids to touch. It will be $15.00 to enter your vehicle.
There will be 50/50 tickets on sale as well as tickets for many raffle baskets.
We also plan to sell t-shirts the day of the event. There will be photos of them at a later date.
If you would like to have your company name or logo on the shirts you will receive a free shirt, free entry of your trucks. Send a message or add a comment with your email for a sponsor sheet!

We are asking a small donation of $10.00 per car when you park at the event.
All proceeds will go to the Jared Bower Family.
