Tote-ally Happy: Make your own Tote Bag

Join us for a fun and creative FREE workshop where you’ll learn the basics of sewing while making your very own tote bag from scrap fabrics.

With guidance from the friendly teams at The ReDress Hub and The Can Do Crew, you’ll be supported every step of the way—from cutting your fabric and learning to use a sewing machine, to constructing your bag and adding your own personal touch.

To finish, you’ll decorate your tote with feel-good iron-on words, all created from reclaimed fabric scraps—making your bag as unique as you are!

This workshop is proudly funded by Relationships Australia Tasmania supporting Mental Health Awareness month of May and is perfect for beginners or anyone keen to try something new in a relaxed, supportive environment.

This workshop is suitable for adult beginners and young people 14yo+. Children under 14 are also welcome but we recommend adult supervision for additional help.

You don't need to bring a thing! All materials and tools will be supplied by The ReDress Hub. However, you are most welcome to bring any favourite fabrics or perhaps a teatowel (they make great bags!) you have at home to make your bag should you wish.

This workshop is free, but bookings are recommended as places are limited. If you can’t attend, please cancel your ticket so someone else can join.

Walk-ins are welcome, subject to availability.
