Join us to hear Bob Davidson on Cattleya Orchids.Bob has been growing orchids, especially Cattleya orchids, since he was first smitten by the orchid bug in 1985. His passion is to constantly become a better orchid grower and learn to adapt his orchid growing skills to whatever growing environment he has available to him. Bob grows potted orchid plants in all sizes from plug to blooming size, but his selection is limited to mostly Cattleyas plus a few other species.
Bob also answers Cattleya culture questions in the “Cattleya Culture” Facebook group he facilitates.
Bob owns, Carrboro Tropicals (carrborotropicals.com) located in the Triangle area of North Carolina, 5 miles west of Carrboro . The greenhouses at Carrboro Tropicals are filled with thousands of orchid plants in all stages of growth and are open to visitors 7 days a week by appointment only (919) 428-0010. Carboro Tropicals is located at 3261 NC Highway 54 W, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
Visitors are welcome to come and enjoy his presentation. Free and open to the public at the JC Raulston Arboretum Education Building.
