Come out to learn about a legend of the local fauna, the Mojave Desert tortoise. Create a tortoise craft to take with you, and maybe meet a special guest! This program is for park visitors of all ages and is kid friendly.Date: Sunday, April 12th, 2026

Location: Ice Age Fossils State Park - Check in with the front desk

•This program will be outdoors.
•Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

What to Expect
•This is a tabletop educational program with visual aids and hands-on elements.
•You can also create your own desert tortoise with small terracotta saucers and crafting materials.
•The educational content of this program is introductory level.
Fees & Registration
•The $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies.
•There is no additional cost for this program.
•Drop in anytime between 9:00 am – 11:00 am. No registration required.
