About this Event

Speed-date while exploring the streets of Toronto in a fun way!

We'll have some fun icebreakers, team activities, and speed dating rotations so that you can get to know potential matches 1:1!

2:00 PM: Meet at The Berczy Park dog fountain. Please be on time - if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will need to catch up on the route.

2:15 - 4:15 PM: Explore some cool spots and landmarks on the streets of Toronto while getting to know people! We'll have group and pair activities as well as speed dating rounds.

4:15- 4:30 PM: We'll end at the Distillery District and give you time to complete the match forms. You'll then have free time to continue to mingle!

Your ticket includes

Activities led by our team members who will make sure you are always moving, connecting and having fun
A match form which you will fill near the end of the event

We are My Creative Break and we specialize in play!

Known for our more intimate Deeper Connections networking, social and speed dating events, we don’t ever want you to feel alone and awkward! Our team will be there to make sure you are always connecting with others and having a good time. We take pride in connecting people in fun ways, using games that make people collaborate together, creative activities, team building, theatrical games and storytelling.

Refund policy: No refunds, unless the event is cancelled. If you can't make it to the event, please contact us ASAP and we'll give you a credit to attend another event. If the event is postponed you will still receive a credit for the new event date. By attending this event, you accept sole responsibility for all risks both known or unknown, inherent or otherwise, related to the event.

No selling or solicitation of any products or services will be allowed during the event. If you are looking for somewhere to promote your businesses or services, check out our networking events. This event is a singles mixer and we want everyone to feel comfortable and able to be themselves.

Photography & videography release: We will be taking pictures and videos at the events. We reserve the right to use images or videos from our event on social media, website, promotional material and ads. By attending, you consent to this.

Match form release: By completing a match form, you understand that matches are not guaranteed. A match is when two people simultaneously choose each other on the form. By attending our events and completing the questionnaire, you authorize My Creative Break to share the contact information of your choice with your matches.

FAQ

How do I know that the people attending are safe and professional? We try our best to learn about everyone before the event. Before buying your ticket, you will have to answer some questions about yourself and what you are looking for. As stated above, we reserve the right to decline anyone whom we deem unsafe or inappropriate.

Will there be an equal number of men and women?

We make every effort to ensure that there is a balanced ratio of men and women. If we see that more women are signing up, we will close registrations for women until the numbers are equal or close, and vice versa.

What if I am a bit older or younger than the age group stated?

If you are a year or two older or younger than the age group stated, it's usually fine. We want everyone to feel comfortable with the age group they are dating. If you are outside of the age group stated, we encourage you to email us before and we'll let you know if we think you would fit in.

What if there are not enough attendees?

The event will be cancelled. We may offer an alternative event.

What happens if people cancel at the last minute leaving an unbalanced number of men and women?

Yes, life happens and sometimes people will need to cancel at the last minute. In this case, the event still goes on and there is nothing to worry about as we will still make sure you meet everyone and no one feels left out.

How many people will I meet?

We have spots for 12 men and 12 women. You will meet everyone! The minimum number of participants needed for an event to go on is 5 men and 5 women, so you will speed-date at least 5 people.

I'm shy and coming alone. Will I be ok?

It's normal to feel shy and you will be ok! Our event is introvert-friendly and you won't be left alone once you arrive as our hosts and team will accommodate you and make sure you feel comfortable.
