TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational soccer program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional or physical disabilities. The Program provides athletes an opportunity to play soccer in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive and inclusive.This one hour program is designed for kids with disabilities and engages in activities that focus on social skills, teamwork, perseverance, and confidence, all well enjoying the game with soccer! The sessions are led by trained coaches and volunteers with a variety of soccer activities to keep all players engaged.
Each participant is assigned a volunteer, trained ‘Buddy’ who is typically a little older and neurotypical. This Buddy works with their player individually and makes sure they are safe, engaged, supported, and having fun.
