Tool Maintenance Party - Portland

Project Information:

With the recenlty awoken winter weather, we're taking the oppurtunity to give our tool caches some much needed love. We'll be working on cleaning, sharpening, sanding and generally maintaing hand tools from multiple different tool caches. There will be a chance to learn the steps tool maintenance, and practice. If you have any personal hand tools you'd like to be maintained, bring those as well, and we'll do our best to take care of them too! We only ask that you try your best to scrape any mud or dirt off before the event.

Event details:

We'll be meeting at the TKO office. If you're volunteering for the first time, read this blog by a volunteer to know what to expect at your first trail party.

What to bring:

• Plenty of water
• Snacks/lunch
• Work gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)
• Any medications or emergency supplies you may need
• TKO provides all tools and personal protective equipment (hard hats, gloves, glasses)

What to wear:

• Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. Tennis shoes are not recommended. Open-toed shoes will not be allowed.)
