Here's the truth.
I started Hendersonville Women Who Wine because I couldn't find my people. I wanted friends who actually meant it. Women with good intentions, big hearts, and the courage to show up — even when showing up is terrifying.
And I am still terrified.
I call myself the Fearful Leader. Because I built something that scares me every single time. I walk into rooms wondering if anyone actually likes me. I overthink texts. I replay conversations. I grew up as the scapegoat in my family, raised by a narcissistic mother, and the wound she left me with whispers the same thing on repeat: you're too much. you're not enough. they don't really want you here.
I am on a journey — not to be fearless — but to be okay if no one likes me. Because I like me. I am learning to accept myself. And that has changed everything.
