Too Hot to Work: Financial Inclusion, Productivity and Wellbeing
About this Event
Ready to dive into a lively discussion on financial inclusion, productivity, and wellbeing in a warming world? This in-person event is all about exploring how heat impacts our work and wallets.
Extreme heat is emerging as one of the most material and underestimated climate risks affecting economies, businesses, and vulnerable communities alike.
Unlike floods or storms, heat stress often creates silent but severe losses through declining productivity, employee illness, business interruption, rising insurance exposure, health costs, and in extreme cases injury or death.
For financially excluded and lower-income communities, heat can also trigger immediate income loss, debt stress, missed repayments, and long-term vulnerability.
This event will bring together leaders from law, finance, insurance, development, engineering, and health to examine how institutions should respond to escalating heat risk.
Held during London Climate Action Week, hosted by Clyde & Co and faciliated by FIF, the session will combine legal, commercial and social perspectives, positioning heat stress not only as a climate challenge, but as a risk management, liability and resilience imperative.
Come connect, learn, and share ideas in a relaxed setting. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to see how these important topics come together. See you there!
And don't forget your ID!
