Tombs: A Mausoleum Tour of Elmwood Cemetery

What is a mausoleum? It is an above-ground burial chamber for the deceased, a silent house for the dead where generations rest behind stone doors and stained glass. Scattered across the historic grounds of Elmwood Cemetery stand the houses of the dead, each holding its own mysteries, artistry, and haunting history.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 10th, at 10:30 am for a journey into the art, architecture, and stories hidden within the mausoleums of historic Elmwood.

This is a 90-minute walking tour of the cemetery led by Elmwood Cemetery Development Associate Amanda Zorn. Good walking shoes are recommended. Call 901-774-3212 for rain information. Cost is $20 per person.
