Join Kat in the kitchen for this celebration of summer's favorite produce... tomatoes!
In this class, you'll...
- practice making a homemade flaky pastry dough
- prepare your fillings and tomatoe-y toppings
- assemble your very own full sized tomato galette (free-form tart) to take home
- explore fresh herbs and how to pair them with tomatoes
- work together to make a refreshing fresh tomato salad that we'll enjoy during class
- learn lots of baking tips you can apply to other recipes
- learn how the ingredients work, and more!
- and of course, take home delicious bakes that you made yourself!

ABOUT HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES at the HOMEMADE KITCHEN
These hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun! Class sizes are small, so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Some classes involve a bit of "group work" with other students, but you complete most of the activites yourself... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!
Who should participate? Anyone age 15+ who is looking to learn, wants to have fun, or just enjoys baking in company.
Who teaches the classes? Unless a guest instructor is specified, Kat Gordon (founder of Muddy's) is the primary instructor for all classes. Many classes also have a class assistant.
What about cancellations? Classes are small and space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. If you cannot make it to your class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Homemade must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and offer you a refund or a class swap.
Where are the classes held? Is "Homemade" part of Muddy's? The Muddy's founder, Kat Gordon, "spun off" the class business after the sale of the bakery :) Homemade is not a part of Muddy's, but IS located inside the event space and is proud to be next door!
One more note... baking classes at Homemade are about helping you feel more at home in the kitchen, NOT about "being perfect", so relax, ask questions, and have fun!
