Our annual fundraiser and legendary local culinary event, the Tomato Sandwich Taste Off, will return from 9:00-11:30 on July 25th! Join 8 local chefs as they make their best tomato sandwich and compete to win the Big Tomato trophy! Proceeds from this event benefit the operation of the Travelers Rest Farmers Market, which supports 130+ local businesses and farms. Your ticket (available in mid-June) buys you sample-sized renditions of each of the chefs’ best attempts at a tomato sandwich and a vote to choose the winner. Voting ends at 11:30.
Travelers Rest Farmers Market presented by Prisma Health is held every Saturday from April 25th - September 19th from 8:30am-12pm. Browse from 85+ local vendors, share a picnic brunch with your neighbors, listen to live bands, and find entertainment for the whole family. Products offered include meats, vegetables, fruit, breads, cheeses, pastries, soaps, candles, and more! TRFM happily accepts SNAP-EBT and has a SNAP-doubling program!
