Tom Toles & Junkman's Choir benefiting Investigative Post
Tom Toles and Junkman’s Choir will once again provide the entertainment, offering two sets of rollicking rock ’n’ roll on Thursday, July 30. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and music will commence at 6:30 and run until about 9:30. Tickets are $25.
Proceeds will help fund Investigative Post’s award-winning reporting. We’re a nonprofit and the only news outlet in Western New York focused on watchdog journalism.
“Supporting Investigative Post is one immediate, effective way to help preserve honesty in government, freedom of speech, and American traditions of citizen involvement in our democracy,” Toles said.
“It’s not every day you get to have so much fun doing something so valuable for Buffalo.”

Investigative Post is a serious outfit, but we like to have fun once in a while. Such is the case with our upcoming benefit concert at Sportsmen’s Tavern.
Tom Toles and Junkman’s Choir will once again provide the entertainment, offering two sets of rollicking rock ’n’ roll.
The show is scheduled for Thursday, July 30. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and music will commence at 6:30 and run until about 9:30. Tickets are $25 and available for purchase at this link.

Tom Fischer, bass player with the Junkman’s Choir, added: “We’ve been doing this show with Tom Toles on and off for almost 10 years. It’s always a fun time whether it’s your first or fifth time.
“A splendid time is guaranteed for all! And, of course, it’s for a great cause!”
Toles is the Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist, late of The Washington Post and Buffalo News. He presently serves on Investigative Post’s board of directors.
The Junkman’s Choir includes Fischer, Jim Celeste, Carl Krahling and Bill Blanford.
Sportsmen’s Tavern, considered Buffalo’s premier music club, is located at 326 Amherst St., near Grant Street, in the city’s Black Rock neighborhood.
Last year’s show attracted a standing-room-only crowd of about 300. Buy your tickets now to avoid the risk of a sell-out.
“This may be the best donation you make this year,” Toles said.
