Tom Stevenson Weekend Workshop

This two day workshop will focus on painting a still life in oils in an expressive style. Working from life in the Hay Barn's beautiful studiospace, and with a variety of subjects to choose from, this weekend wil be an opportunity to explore different ways of approaching still life painting.

We'll explore different methods and techiniques, looking at things such as drawing, colour, tone, simplification and building an attractive 'paint surface'. We'll also discuss choosing a subjuct and keeping the painting fresh and loose.

You'll be shown demonstrations of diffrent techniques and, as part of a small group, will have 1:1 support as you complete your own painting.
