Through this combination the trio explores the territory of Tom Maciel's compositions whose heartbeat naturally synchronizes with Brazilian music but not only in terms of rhythm. Angular melodies and challenging harmonies open up space for free improvisation and the conversation between the instrumentalists sometimes subverts the functionality of each instrument.
