TOM HINGLEY
Tom Hingley is a million-selling singer-songwriter best known as the former frontman of iconic British indie band Inspiral Carpets, whom he joined in 1989, bringing his soulful voice and dynamic stage presence to the band during the height of the ‘Madchester’ music scene.
Tom’s vocals became synonymous with the Inspirals’ distinctive blend of psychedelic rock and indie pop. During his 22 year tenure, the band earned critical and commercial success, with 15 Top 40 hits singles - including ‘This Is How It Feels’, ‘Saturn 5’ and ‘She Comes in the Fall’ - and headlined Glastonbury and the Reading Festival.
Tom has also enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing albums both as a solo artist and as part of The Lovers (with Paul and Steve Hanley ex-The Fall), and penned an autobiography - ‘Carpet Burns: My Life with Inspiral Carpets’ - offering an intimate look at his journey in music.
Tom continues to maintain his status as a beloved figure in British indie music. Live, he performs original music: a blend of Folk, Soul, Gospel and Blues, in addition to renditions of Inspiral Carpets classic songs, and is also an animated and eclectic performer on slide guitar.
GLEN ALFRED
With his warm vocal delivery and earthy, acoustic songwriting, Hong Kong-based Glen Alfred draws inspiration from 70s folk/rock artists like Van Morrison and Dan Fogelberg to contemporaries such as Damien Rice, The National and City And Colour. He has toured throughout his homeland of Australia, the US and is currently on his 2025 ‘Something Not Right’ Tour in the UK and Europe. He released his latest EP ‘And The Darkness’ in 2024, the follow-up to his self-titled 2019 debut.
