Tom Hingley is an English singer-songwriter best known as the frontman of the iconic indie band Inspiral Carpets. Born on July 9, 1965, in Oxford, England, Hingley joined Inspiral Carpets in 1989, bringing his soulful voice and dynamic stage presence to the band during the height of the Madchester music scene. His tenure with the band saw them release hits like "This Is How It Feels," "Saturn 5," and "She Comes in the Fall," earning them critical and commercial success.Hingley's vocals became synonymous with the band’s distinctive blend of psychedelic rock and indie pop. After leaving Inspiral Carpets in 2011, he pursued a solo career, showcasing his versatility through acoustic performances and new albums, including "Hymns and Arias."
