Art Festival Tradition To Continue At Toledo Botanical Garden, June 27-28, 2026The Toledo Artist Club and Gallery, is proud to announce it will be continuing the tradition of a Fine Arts Festival at Toledo Botanical Garden located at 5403 Elmer Drive,Toledo, Ohio. The club, also located in the Gardens, will present, “The Toledo Festival Of The Arts,” to be held at Toledo Botanical Garden on June 27 thru June 28, 2026. The club will host over 175 artists in what will be the 60th year such an event has been held.
“The club is really returning to its roots,” said Paul Lyon, President of the The Toledo Artists Club and Gallery. He continued, “The club is over 80 years old with a rich history of promoting outdoor shows. We held the first in 1941, which was known as, The Outdoor Art Jubilee and this show continued on into the 1990’s. The Club also started a large outdoor show called the Rose Garden Art festival in 1966 in downtown Toledo in conjunction with the Toledo Department of Forestry. The Rose Garden Arts Festival, ran from 1966 - 1970 in the downtown area and later in the the 1970’s moved to Crosby Park and became known as the Toledo Festival of the Arts. As Crosby Park evolved into Toledo Botanical Garden in the 1980’s, so too did the show which evolved into the Crosby Festival of the Arts.”
Lyon stated, “The Club wants this year’s show to focus on local and regional artists and this is why we are returning its original name, The Toledo Festival of the Arts. We will be also hosting a historical retrospective of the works of great Toledo Artists in our gallery during the festival.” The club will offer free admission to the show in the hopes of promoting the arts to a wider audience in the greater Toledo area.
Registration is currently open for artists seeking to enter the festival on the website, zapplication.org. Artists should search for, “The Toledo Festival of the Arts,” Toledo, Ohio on the website. The juried entry fee for the festival is $35 and all artists in various mediums are encouraged to apply.
