Together Against the Death Penalty
About this Event
The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) and the Red Ribbons Campaign invite you to a crucial, revelatory panel discussion on the crisis inside Israeli detention facilities. This evening in central London brings together eyewitnesses, frontline legal defenders, and human rights champions to expose the realities inside these modern-day gulags and outline how we can collectively organise to protect Palestinian prisoners and hostages.
The horror faced by Palestinian hostages has reached a terrifying apex. Amid systemic crackdowns, draconian policies, and the implementation of the death penalty against Palestinian detainees, thousands are facing unprecedented levels of state-sanctioned violence, torture, and a slow, silent death behind closed doors.
We cannot stay silent.

Meet the Panel (All Appearing In-Person)
Dr. Mustafa Barghouti: A world-renowned Palestinian physician, activist, and politician. As the General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative, Dr. Barghouti has spent decades on the front lines of non-violent resistance, civil disobedience, and human rights advocacy against the occupation. He brings invaluable systemic context to the current political targeting of Palestinian detainees.
Saif Abu Keshek: A Palestinian-Spanish activist and a leading figure with the Global Sumud Flotilla. Saif was recently abducted by Israeli forces in international waters while trying to break the siege on Gaza. Having experienced arbitrary detention, tight-handcuff torture, and solitary confinement firsthand before his deportation, his testimony provides a raw, vital look at the prisoner experience.
Catríona Graham: An Irish activist and member of the Global Sumud Flotilla. Catriona has worked in social justice campaigning on feminism, migrant rights, and children's rights for more than a decade, alongside three decades of activism on abortion rights, anti-racism, and for the pro-Palestine movement. Now living in Brussels, she is active in local groups led by Palestinians from Gaza and supports the Flotilla's efforts on mobilisations and global campaigning.
Khaled Mahajna: A prominent Palestinian human rights lawyer with the Commission of Detainees' Affairs. Khaled has made international headlines by defying extreme state restrictions to visit prisons including the notorious Sde Teiman camp and Ofer Pr*son, brutally exposing firsthand testimonies of severe abuse, torture, and the weaponisation of starvation against Gazan detainees.
Tayab Ali: A distinguished international human rights lawyer and the Director of the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians. Tayab specialises in international criminal law, pursuing accountability for war crimes and state-level human rights violations at the highest global legal forums.
Hosted by Mathilda Mallinson: An award-winning presenter and journalist published across international outlets and broadcasters. She is a live anchor at Middle East Eye and co-host of the Media Storm podcast. Mathilda specialises in immigration and displacement, having previously worked in frontline aid in Europe and Africa, and has directed media campaigns with human rights groups including Amnesty International and Choose Love.
Why You Can’t Miss It
This isn’t just a panel discussion; it’s a mobilisation space. Come to listen, network, and inform yourself so that you can go away and educate others. With the suspension of their basic legal rights, the denial of International Red Cross visits, and the very real danger of state-sanctioned executions, the war on Palestinian prisoners is a war of attrition designed to crush the spirit of a people.
Hear the unfiltered testimonies that the mainstream media bypasses. Learn about the strategic legal actions being taken internationally. Stand in solidarity with the thousands of hostages trapped in graves of concrete and steel.
Note: Due to high demand and venue security protocols, space is strictly limited.
Registration is mandatory for entry.
