FREE program: Todd Shorkey and Michelle Judd with "History of the Bay City Boat Lines"

Location: Trinity Episcopal Church, 815 N. Grant St. (and Center Ave.), Bay City, Michigan.
Michelle and Todd will talk about the history of Bay City Boat Lines. Todd will also be presenting information and photos on the journey of the PRINCESS WENONAH from Bay City to the Jet Express Dock in Port Clinton, Ohio for her 5-year survey and the return trip.
Todd is a Fire Lieutenant/E.M.T. for the Portsmouth Township Fire Department. At the end of the 2024 season, Todd retired as a Captain of Bay City Boat Lines' PRINCESS WENONAH. He retired from the Bay City Department of Public Safety, Fire Operations Division, in March of 2020 after more than 25 years of service, retiring as a Battalion Chief. Todd was one of the first firefighters on the scene when the fuel tanker, Jupiter, exploded and burned on the Saginaw River. Todd has also worked as a Deckhand for Malcolm Marine on the tug Manitou and is a FAA Certified Unmanned Small Aircraft System Pilot.
Michelle Judd has been Bay City Boat Lines' Marketing and Reservations Manager for the past 27 years. She is also a Business Consultant for the Michigan Small Business Development Center, as well as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Northwood University and Saginaw Valley State University, guiding students in the Principles of Marketing.

The Saginaw River Marine Historical Society (SRMHS) is an all volunteer organization interested in the maritime history of the Saginaw River and its connecting waters. We have seven monthly presentations a year and they start at 6:30 pm on the third Saturday of each month USUALLY at Trinity Episcopal Church, 815 N. Grant St. (and Center Ave.), Bay City, Michigan (unless there is a different location / day / time for a specific presentation). Customarily, there are no presentations in May, June, July, August and December.
