Cardanja is a small band from Weimar, Germany, composed of two people. Anja from weimar plays the accordion and melodica, and Dan plays the electric and electro-acoustic guitar, vocals and drumcomputer. He sings fast melodic punk music with political lyrics about injustice from yesterday and today, with an anti-capitalist message, against fascism, racism and chauvinism, about people marginalized by the system, against dictatorial regimes of any kind, homophobia and chauvinism.
Dan was born in Timisoara Romania and first listened to punk from older friends in 1978. he played in several punk bands including Terror Art and Critica Radicală from Craiova. When a series of bands disappeared, Anja and Dan refused to give up
punk and continue to sing against injustice of any kind.
We are no longer young but we do not want to wait resignedly to die as some of us want, we want more concerts. Punks not dead. For ever punk!
Cardanja has been around since 2005. Anja loves Dan and is in solidarity with the music and punk scene. Forward for justice when you have nothing left to lose. it doesn't matter how many people play in a punk band, but if you have something to say to your peers. you can play punk in pairs or even alone. We love our audience.
