This training is an excellent opportunity for staff interested in providing tobacco treatment services.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of motivational interviewing, pharmacotherapy for tobacco use disorder, and best practices for intake, assessment, and treatment. Successful completion of this training is one of the primary qualifications for the National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice.

Attendees will participate in:

• Core Training Part I: a 10-hour online course, to be completed prior to the following session

• Core Training Part II: a 3-day course, held in Berkeley on September 8th, 9th, and 10th (Day 1 and 3 are in-person, and Day 2 on the 9th is virtual), with an optional Youth Module on Friday, September 11th that will be virtual).

• An online exam, to be completed after the final session

This training is directed towards and is FREE for staff of ACPH providers and ACBH SUD providers.
