11:00 am “There’s a story here” activities and entertainment
1:30 pm Toast to Texas Ceremony
Following Ceremony, Pilgrimage to the Magnolia Hotel then to Heritage Village. Meet at the corner of Donegan and River
Seguin Conservation Society will have docents placed to offer a glimpse into the past.
Entertainment
German Edelweiss Kinderchor and Kinder Tänzen with local mariachi and folklorico dancers during activities.
Organizations involved
“There’s a story here” activities - The Seguin-Guadalupe Heritage Museum, The Seguin Conservation Society, Magnolia Hotel, Guadalupe County 4-H Shooting Sports Club, Guadalupe County Texas Master Naturalist, Wilson Pottery Foundation, Sebastopol House Historic Site, Seguin Art League and demonstrations of blacksmithing techniques from the 1800’s.
The ceremony includes local dignitaries, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Posse, Clint Taft and the Seguin High School drumline along with a solo trumpet from Navarro High School.
