Join Tacoma Rising for our year-end celebration of the people moving Tacoma forward. At last year’s Toast, we set a bold goal: make Tacoma the best place to do business in the Puget Sound. This December, we’re sharing how we did.
Over dinner and drinks, we’ll premiere our 2026 year-end video, hear a fireside chat on Tacoma’s transformation, and honor the community members whose work has made a real impact on our city and region, many of them for years and without ever being asked.
It’s one night to bring together the partners, builders, and neighbors who’ve shaped this year, and to raise a glass to how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next.

Special Guest Speaker - Chris Angus, McKinstry
Chris brings more than 25 years of experience across commercial, educational, hospitality, institutional, nonprofit, and residential development. As Senior Vice President at Unico Properties, he led the development team through every stage of the development lifecycle, and Unico was named NAIOP's Developer of the Year in 2022 under his leadership. He previously led preconstruction at Sellen Construction and has taught in the University of Washington's Construction Management program
