This isn’t a conversation about telling you what to believe.
It isn’t about proving who is right or who is wrong.
It is about creating a space where we can ask the questions that sometimes make us uncomfortable—and have the courage to actually sit with the answers.
What does it mean to be Black, Same-Gender-Loving, and Christian in a world that can sometimes make you feel like you have to choose one part of yourself over another?
Can faith and identity coexist when the voices around us tell us they cannot?
What role do Scripture, culture, community, tradition, and lived experience play in shaping what we believe?
And can we disagree with one another without dehumanizing one another?
These are not easy questions.
But perhaps the goal isn’t to make the questions easy.
Perhaps the goal is to make the conversation honest.
On October 10th, we will gather—not simply to debate, but to listen. To learn. To challenge. To reflect. And ultimately, to move the conversation forward.
Because there are conversations we avoid because they’re uncomfortable.
And then there are conversations we have because our community deserves better than silence.
This is one of those conversations.
Come sit at the table.
