Tonight’s Concert: About The Ulysses Quartet
Founded in 2015, the Ulysses Quartet is an award-winning young string quartet celebrated for its vibrant performances, exceptional musicianship, and fresh approach to chamber music. The quartet has performed at leading venues, including Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, and has earned top prizes at major international chamber music competitions.
Program Information
Join us for an enchanting evening of music under the open sky with the acclaimed Ulysses Quartet. This richly varied program journeys across traditions and generations, from the contemporary voices of Jessie Montgomery and Christina Bouey to folk-inspired selections drawn from American, Danish, and Australian musical heritage. At its heart is Mendelssohn's radiant String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 12, a masterpiece of youthful passion and lyricism. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Van Vleck House & Gardens, this outdoor concert invites guests to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy an unforgettable summer evening of chamber music in the gardens.

Parking Information
Parking is available in our both our Van Vleck Street and North Mountain Avenue Parking Lots.
*Please note that the Van Vleck lot is one-way only: follow signage for the entrance and exit.
The entrance gate for the Van Vleck lot is located on Van Vleck Street, closer to North Mountain Avenue than the main entrance to the house.
The entrance gate for the North Mountain lot is located on North Mountain between Claremont and Van Vleck Streets, closer to Van Vleck.
Slowly approach gates to activate sensors—no pass is required.
Additional parking is permitted along North Mountain Avenue.
