Let’s talk about something important — and sometimes misunderstood.
Titer testing is not anti-vaccination.
It’s pro-protection without unnecessary repetition.
A vaccine titer test measures antibody levels in your dog’s blood to determine whether they still have protective immunity from previous core vaccinations (like distemper and parvo).
In many dogs, immunity lasts longer than one year, some studies showing up to FOURTEEN years!
That means some pets may not need automatic annual boosters and yet still be protected— but the only way to know is to test.
